On October 19, 2023, BE Petrothai Group was honored to participate in the ‘FIP Networking 2023’ (Furnace Improvement Process) organized by partners in the olefins industry in Thailand. The event was an online conference that brought together process, maintenance, and turnaround teams from over 100 companies to share experiences and insights on the use and maintenance of furnace equipment.
Mr. Panya Thungthan, an Engineering Management Team member of BE Petrothai Group, presented a paper titled “Best Maintenance Practice for Burner Inspection Program.” The program provides guidance on how to observe abnormal conditions of burner equipment while the furnace is operating, as well as how to improve furnace operation that may affect the furnace and prevent permanent equipment damage. This inspection can extend the life of the equipment and help to extend the furnace production process. The program also includes inspection of the equipment while it is not operating, focusing on the key points that directly affect the operation according to the manufacturer's design standards. The program also includes other suggestions from manufacturers on maintenance and equipment efficiency improvement to help reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
