BE Petrothai joins Enclosed Ground Flare launch at PTT LNG
BE Petrothai Group, led by
Mr. Ariyatas Sutthachai, Chief Executive Officer, and
Mr. Tarm Chamnong-asa, Managing Partner, were invited to attend the
First Ignition Ceremony — the official commissioning of the
Enclosed Ground Flare (EGF) system for
Map Ta Phut LNG Terminal 1 (LMPT1) in Rayong Province.
During the opening ceremony,
Mr. Wisan Kaewprasom, Chief Executive Officer of
PTTLNG, remarked that the transition from the
Elevated Flare system to the
Enclosed Ground Flare (EGF) represents a major technological upgrade in gas combustion systems — significantly reducing environmental and community impacts. He emphasized the key benefits of the EGF technology:
	- No light pollution or flashing flames, day or night.

	- No visible flames from the flare stack.

	- No noise disturbance and reduced vibration during combustion.

	- 100% smokeless operation — “No black smoke.”

In this project,
BE Petrothai Group successfully delivered
world-class technology  at a
value-engineered cost, fully meeting user requirements while fitting seamlessly into the existing flare system design. The digital data of project were handed over via the
boonma platform — an engineering data management system that allows
PTTLNG to integrate key information directly into their
SAP system, including
part inventory and
maintenance planning.
This marks another
successful contract, reaffirming BE Petrothai Group’s legacy of over
45 years of expertise in delivering high-quality flare systems that are
environmentally responsible and
community-friendly — fully aligned with the company’s
ESG commitment to a cleaner, healthier future.
